Banned Cars: Season 3 Banned Car List

The BTR Forza League Season 3 Rules

Last amended 6th February 2017

These Rules are the standard for Season 3

(1) General Rules

(i) There will be 10 Races.
(ii) Points are based on finishing between positions 1-15.
(iii) As this is a league on a video game, we understand that the real world takes priority over the simulated world. Thus we have imposed a system where only the best 7 results will be chosen for the Championship in the event of absences.
(iv) In the event of tie breakers, the 8th best result will determine the tie breaker.
(v) Number of Laps is based on a 50 mile distance.
(vi) You must make 1 mandatory pit stop per race. This is enforced by Forza 6's 'Quickstop' mechanic.
(vii) Qualifying will consist of 3/4 laps (based on the track) where the fastest laptime takes Pole (viii) After Race 1, the top 10 positions will be given a PI handicap for the next race. Each position from 10th and upwards will incur a -2 PI penalty. (9th will be -4, 6th will be -10 etc.)

(2) Teams

(i) We are introducing Teams in Season 3
(ii) These are teams of 2, which will collect points of all races
(iii) The highest finisher of each team will gather the points for that team. The next finisher of another team collects the next position of points (Team 1 Driver 1 is 1st, Team 1 Driver 2 is 2nd, Team 2 Driver 1 is 3rd, Team 3 Driver 1 is 4th, so the points are Team 1 1st, Team 2 2nd, Team 3 3rd

(3) Divisions

(i) Season 1 saw a Freshman League introduced for drivers joining after the first few races. This was repeated for Season 2 and will be the same again in Season 3.
(ii) We may introduce a 2nd Division for those who do not wish to compete in the main Championship.

(4) Cars and Carbuilding

BTR is exactly that; Build, Tune and Race. We heavily encourage you to build and tune your own car. For that however, we have set some (not too restrictive) rules for your design process.

(i) You are allowed to use any car except the per-round banned cars for each race.
(ii) Banned Cars will be based on Laptimes from the Global Leaderboard. Cars that appear commonly in the top 100 will be banned.
(iii) Cars must be of a certain Drivetrain (FWD/AWD/RWD) for the round.
(iv) Cars cannot exceed the PI Rating (593/693/793) for the round.
(v) If you pick the right car, you can use it for all rounds by changing the tuning and setup (except for the category races).
(vi) Drive Conversions are not allowed (changing a car from FWD to AWD for instance).
(vii) Car Downgrading is not allowed. This is defined as lowering the Base PI of a car down to a level it could be used in a race. Example: Bringing a S745 to a A685, or a A699 down to a A693. The game may allow it, but we don't. Sorry.
(viii) You may have multiple car tunes for a race weekend for a single car. For instance a qualifying tune, and a race tune. However, not multiple car builds. Whatever car you start off in Qualifying with, you must race with.

(5) Car Tuning

(i) This is a Self-Tune league, thus we are banning all tunes from NON LEAGUE COMPETITORS. This ensures a fair and balanced race.
(ii) This ruling does allow you to share and recieve tunes from other competetitors in the league.

(6) Tracks

(i) Tracks each week are based on the Thousanth Digit of the previous races Fastest Lap, and a pool of tracks decided before the season begins.
(ii) If a track has a Wet or Night variant, the Hundreth Digit of the previous race will determine whether or not it'll be a Wet or Night Race.
(iii) For Dry and one Variant races, 0,2,4,6,8 will be a Dry race, 1,3,5,7,9 will be the Wet or Night variant
(iv) For Dry and both Variant Races, 2,4,6,8 will be dry, 1,5,9 will be Wet, 3,7,0 will be Night.

(7) Tyre Wear, Fuel Usage, and Damage

(i) We will be running Cosmetic damage for the foreseeable future.
(ii) We currently run Fuel Usage.
(iii) We currently run Tyre Wear.

(8) Feature Races

(i) Season 2 introduced 'Feature' races. These are races where competitors will be racing a set car. They will appear again in Season 3.

(9) Racing Etiquette

We emphasise clean, fun racing. Whilst racing incidents happen, we try and push for them to be as limited as possible.

We encourage you to be gentle on your race starts. Races are long and not won at the first corner.
Please try not to cut corners to gain an advantage.
If you brake late and go off, please be aware of other drivers when coming back onto the track.
Some tracks have a pit lane exit that merges onto the racing line. Please be careful in these instances as Forza will automatically drive the pit-exiting car along the set path until control is given back.
Don't grief any other driver in any other way.
